About PAID

PAID is a professional student-run organization whose purpose is to create networking opportunities among students, industry, and faculty within the field of Industrial Distribution. It is Texas A&M University's third largest student run organization, and is growing stronger every year! PAID is an exciting gateway to the development and refinement of the skills necessary for a career in sales, purchasing, management, logistics, or any other field related to industrial distribution. We have many recruiting events through out the year and hope that your company will have an opportunity to participate. Two of our biggest events are our Fall Career Expo held in September and our Spring Career Fair held in February. In addition, PAID also hosts individual company events including Power Lunches and Business Meetings. Power Lunches are company sponsored lunches for all PAID members. They are held outside on Fermier Lawn and are usually attended by 200 plus PAID members and faculty. These lunches give companies a chance to network with students in more relaxed environment while students come and go in between classes for lunch. Two to three times a semester, PAID members attend professional business meetings where they hear from high-level executives of companies. Hosting industry leaders provide students with cutting edge information about their particular industry, discuss trends facing the future of industrial distribution, and interviewing advice. These meetings are an excellent opportunity for members to learn about a variety of career paths and industries, and a great way for industry to get in front of PAID members. Lastly, PAID also complies a Resume Review at the beginning of each year. This is one of PAID's most outstanding benefits. Resume Review is a CD that contains active PAID member's resumes. These resumes are released for companies to review. Many students have been contacted and hired for both full-time and internship/co-op positions through this feature of PAID.Our goal is to create the best opportunity for students to gain networking skills and find the perfect job after graduation. We hope the following tools will help you prepare for industry networking, Career Fairs, interviews, and business in the future.
